We had the extreme pleasure of meeting up with a fan of the show, Bernie. He made the long drive to the legendary beer bars in Muncie to hang out with the GBS. He brought the beer, recorded a show at “The Fickle Peach”, pounded a few at “The Heorot” and watched Mikey Mason perform at “Morton’s Pub and Grub”. Thanks Bernie and I am glad you enjoyed the “Goose Island Imperial IPA” I slipped you while Mikey played.

At the end of the show we consumed some beer from 2 of the World Beer Cup champion brewers namely Darron Welch from Pelican Brewery and Tonya Cornett from Bend Brewing Co. I spliced in a couple of phone interviews with these fine people too. Beers for the show were Alaskan Amber, Alaskan IPA, Deschutes Green Lakes Organic Ale, Widmer Brothers Broken Halo IPA, Boulevard Double Wide IPA, Pelican India Pelican Ale and Bend Outback X.

Our musical guests for this episode were “MC Sparkplug“. Tony Z, who you might know from Bogardus, and Lanie have a rather interesting hip hop act that is popular in our area. I enjoy their music very much and I hope you do too. The MySpace site is here.

Above is not a stout but a rinse pitcher. It is darkest rinse pitcher in GBS history. Beers on the show were Tröegs Nugget Nectar Ale and three pre-release beers from Thirsty Dog. That is all I am going to say. You have to listen.

I love comedians. I am proud to have had “Otto the Comic” on episode 149 of our show. At 300 gigs a year, he has to be one of the hardest working performers I know.
